Congrats! What year is the one you bought? The current ones look almost the exact same including paint... that bike hasn’t been updated in ages. But $5k is a good price for a 600.

Thanks! And yup, this is an 06, and they’re doing 60th anniversary livery on the 16s that’s almost identical. I haven’t been riding nearly as many street miles here in Michigan with the FZ6, so I wanted something more suited to the track and cheap enough that I wouldn’t feel guilty flogging it a bit.

Not be be that guy but my buddy bought a yellow anniversary Yamaha raptor 660 and had nothing but issues with it. Sold it and bought another anniversary raptor and had issues with it. Sold that and bought an 07 660. Good as gold. Something about the anniversary editions and Yamaha no bueno

Thats just the luck of the draw, my brother had an 06 anniverseary edition and it had zero problems. Also, those were 700s starting in 06 with fuel injection, so it might have been first year problems

I actually had to look that up to double check, but for 06 firing order is 1-2-4-3 , tdcs at 0,180,540,360
